Dear High School Teachers, Administrators, and Students:
Over the past year, our team has visited over 11 high schools. We have seen thousands of students. It is our team’s goal to provide a unique student-centered, hands-on experience to encourage high school students (and younger) to pursue a career in the physical sciences. The goal is to provide a fun physics day for students.
No school is typical, each school is unique and we tailor our visits to each school based on what the high school teachers would like us to do. However, we have compiled a list of typical experiments we do when we visit schools.
Typically, we go to the high school and spend a portion of the day at the school working directly with the physics departments. There are many other flavors we do too, including inviting a high school to come visit our labs.
If you or your school is interested, please reach out to me at mwright [at] adelphi.edu. We are currently setting up appointments for the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you
Matt
