Congratulations Bridget Gifford!

Bridget will join Kings Park School District next year to teach high school physics.  I am super proud of you Bridget; way to go!  She is one of those students who knew what she wanted on day one and persevered through all the way to the end.  Bridget got grit!

Kings Park you have found yourself an amazing teacher, mentor, and team player.  I am super looking forward to working with Bridget in the future.  Let’s build a strong partnership between Kings Park and Adelphi in terms of Physics.

Bridget was a star of the Adelphi University Learning Center.  She was an excellent student mentor.  Students only had good things to say about Bridget when she led discussion sections.  Her evaluations were off the charts!  I was (and am) jealous!

She also was an active part of the Adelphi University Admissions team.  When her and her best friend Kelly Heirsche (Another Adelphi University Super Star, currently doing Teach America) worked at the Admissions office I always felt I had an insider over there!

Bridget is a part of the class of 2017, where she earned a BS in physics.  As a member of the class of 2018, she will earn her Master’s degree in Education as part of our STEP program.

And another amazing part or the story, Adelphi University will welcome a new member of the Gifford family next year (I love Bridget’s family; they are amazing).  Welcome to Adelphi Katie!

Congratulations Bridget!
