One week ago, I was chilling in my apartment, happily pestering Rosie and Colleen day after day. I was writing a novel (I got over 40,000 words! This is going to be the BOMB!), reading some books, and watching TV shows. My schedule looked like this:

  1. Check email
  2. Write blog post
  3. Go for Walk
  4. Play games with family
  5. Write 2000 words on novel
  6. Watch Football Game
  7. Eat Chicken Wings
  8. Read

That is the easiest schedule ever. Now my schedule looks like a CVS receipt:

I am immobile. I am frozen. There is just too much to do. I am a DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS!

My grandpa Floyd was an avid deer hunter. He owned a small piece of land in Finley Lake, NY. Right at dusk, we would drive around the dirt roads, looking into the fields at the place where the trees met the farm, with a giant spot light looking for the deer. There would always be a handful of deer running out there. As soon as the spot light hit them. HARD STOP! The deer just stood there looking back at us. I enjoyed those nights and chillin with grandpa Floyd. Unfortunately for the deer, my grandpa was about to shoot them (legally of course) in a month or two. Maybe they should have gotten to work. LMAO!

In one week’s time I will be buzzing around my office and my house getting task after task done. I hope. I got to get my classes prepped and my syllabi done! We have to our departmental study this semester! Research! Op-eds! Writing! Oh I am going to spend 30 minutes writing this blog post instead of doing any real work.

Must find Energy!! Don’t Look on Social Media!! Get Ready to Teach Classes!!

Nah its time for lunch.
