Today I held my “Be a Shark” workshop! WOO HOO! Be Aware! Be Very Aware! There are AU Sharks about.

We had good pretty good attendance. Lots of wonderful eager faces. And a lot of laughs. Pictures at the bottom of the page.

The thing I love, LOVE, about this workshop is being able to be direct. People build opportunities for themselves directly. And it’s so refreshing to be able to be so direct with the students.

So this workshop still needs some work but it is still super fun! It was great to hear everyone laugh. And it was also great to see how excited everyone was about free pizza! Yum!

The meeting started with pizza. And then I gave a short power point presentation about channeling your inner shark (see link below). Then we played the game Shark Pitch for about 30 minutes. Finally we had a small lab tour of the AU Shark labs for interested students. It was so awesome! It was great to see everyone annoyed that I was making them play a game but then at the end smiling and laughing. I really need to start marketing that game.

I would like to thank the CAS dean’s office for their additional support of the event!
