Here the email I received from Dr. Brad Conrad.

Dear Matthew Wright;

Thank you for your chapter’s submission of a 2020-2021 chapter report.

We at the SPS National Office want to take this opportunity to commend and applaud you for your tireless efforts to enrich the SPS community. It is because of your dedication and commitment to the SPS mission and vision that we are able to foster such a strong SPS community.

The National Council has reviewed all chapter reports and has awarded the Adelphi University SPS Chapter as a 2021 Outstanding Chapter. All chapter award winners will be recognized on the Outstanding Chapter Award page in the coming weeks.

On behalf of the Society of Physics Students’ National Office, congratulations once again to you and your chapter!

Best,

Brad R. Conrad, Ph.D.

Director, Society of Physics Students & Sigma Pi Sigma (ΣΠΣ)

We had such an awesome physics club last year led by our fearless leader, President Katie Gifford! WOO HOO! This year’s bunch are awesome too!

The officers last year were

  • President: Katie Gifford
  • Vice President: Sally Lau
  • Secretary: Amanta Promi
  • Treasurer: Gabi Vidad
  • Public Relations Officer: Shalauni Patel

And of course Professor Sean Bentley and I shared the responsibility as the faculty adviser.
