We are having a great weekend in the Adelphi Innovation Center doing the BNL-Adelphi Microcontroller workshop. Here are some take aways!

  • Dave’s workshop was so much fun! Very hands-on! Very detailed! It was really impressive. THANK YOU for coming Dave! This whole thing is next level.
  • Their team (father and son (Brett)) came onto campus ready to do science and engineering! It was a wonderful weekend of general physics background, building circuits, and having fun.
  • Dave is really funny and a great teacher!
  • I have brilliant students. Two interesting notes, Carolina came up with the solution to crazy difficult puzzle and Isaiah decided to build it all at home by himself cause he had to leave early for work. That is both a testiment of how amazing Dave’s notes/setup was and how amazing Isaiah is.

The thing I like about how Dave approaches techinical education is that he does it in a way that gets students working together and makes it so that students have success. I imagine this is how people would learn in the military. Everyone does great things. So much of much of problem solving is about having grit to overcome discouragement. But Dave’s weekend was about having positive experiences. Go Dave! Go BNL!

I learned a ton and had fun!

Oh and Dave brought donuts and bagels. How amazing is that?
