Today we visited Mineola high School for our second lab for kids day in 2025. We were hanging out in Carissa Giuliano’s, Matthew Musumeci’s, and Maria Navarra’s physics classes. We were doing everything!

* Some classes we did air track experiments on Conservation of Momentum.

* Some classes we did our usual Lab for Kids Experiments

* Carissa Giuliano, Mineola Physics Teacher and Adelphi Adjunct Professor, lead Adelphi students through a teaching mentorship discussion during our lunch break. This kind of event is exactly the kind of thing that Professor Giuliano and I discussed when we (along with other teammates) put together or PhysTEC grant.

* I had my entire physics education and outreach class there in one place as well as a few other helpers.

* Some of our leaders for Lab for Kids are biology and chemistry students

It was both amazing and overwhelming. We learned a lot today and had a great time – We laughed a lot. At one point I thought we had more college student helpers than high school students, haha! Lots of smiling faces. And so many amazing things. Too many to talk about today.

I love working with our partners at Mineola High School! Thank you for support us PhysTEC.
