The Cathedral of the Incarnation is celebrating the moon. They have installed an amazing exhibit of the moon right in the cathedral! In keeping with medieval tradition they opening their doors to the community so that the cathedral can be used as a place of scholarly activity.

Toward that end Professor Ed Reno from Adelphi is bringing his history honors class there next monday (Adelphi University Night, Monday April 21 from 4:00-7:00pm) to do an activity for the community. Marianne, Ryan, and myself will follow up with a presentation on the moons of Jupiter, keeping with the material they have learned in their Astrophysics class this semester.

Combining forces, Adelphi University and the Cathedral of the Incarnation are doing what I suggested in my book: Sustaining Colleges and Universities through Community. If we work to make our community great, the community will work to make sure we are successful.
