Dear Students and Adelphi Community,

I would like to apologize for missing tomorrow’s Adelphi University Scholarship and Creative Works Conference (Research Day).  Unfortunately, I have to take my mother to the hospital for a procedure and tomorrow is the only day they can do it.  With the commute, it doesn’t look like I will be able to make research day.  🙁

Mom is doing wellish. She has some bad back pain and this thing she is getting tomorrow is supposed to help. I am very happy to be able to spend the day with my mother tomorrow.  Family comes first, always! 

However, I have a number of students presenting tomorrow and I really wish I could be there.  I am proud of them and the work they do/did.  I also like helping with the organization of the day and I am sorry I will be missing it.  As a former co-chair, AU Research day is very dear to my heart.
