This has been a really difficult couple of months. We had a family emergency – another car accident (everyone is ok). So, once I got out to Las Vegas, I immediately had to race back home.  Seriously I was in Vegas for less than 12 hours.  I was supposed to give Aleeza’s talk at the conference, but I had to cancel.  Ugh.  Luckily, I beat the snow and have had a couple of nice days with the family while they recover.

I want to say thank you to Prof. Carissa Giuliano from both Mineola High School and Adelphi University.  She nicely agreed to be an emergency contact for our students while they were at the conference.

This conference was funded by PhysTEC, APS, AAPT, and NSF, as part of the PhysTEC grant.  It was a great opportunity for our pre-service teachers a chance to connect more deeply with the teaching community.
