Adelphi had a fun day visiting Dr. Maria Navarra and Professor Carissa Giuliano’s classrooms yesterday. Adelphi students Andrew Dazna (’26), Alyssa Zambuto (’26), and Carolina Guekjian (’27) were there along with myself and Dr. Daniel Gysbers. We had a great day!

The highlight of the day was Carolina’s presentation and seeing how well my students can do all the work without me. I love how wonderful they are. And I love it when they do all the work, though sometimes I have to barge in and do a little teaching myself.

Mineola High School is one of our team’s best partners! I love working with them. Great teachers and students. Thank you Prof Giuliano – the cookies were tasty! And Thank you Mineola for working and partnering with us on our grant proposal with APS. We couldn’t have done it with out you.

I looking am forward to our return visit next week.

Here are some pictures of the day: (half were taken by me and half by Professor Giuliano)

Great program. Great school. I did my student teaching in that school in 1972, and taught in the Social Studies department in the following year.
