Friday, Anjali and I were at Queens High School doing our Lab for Kids Outreach Activity.
Anjali is wonderful! She does a really impressive job teaching the physics while being a Biology major. She is going to make an unbelieve STEM teacher in a couple of years.
One of the best parts of this job is getting to know the teachers at the various schools we visit. It was absolutely wonderful to see Mr. Richard Chan flourishing as a physics teacher. He is a great guy and it is nice to see all of his hard work is paying off. The Queen’s High School Robot team was invited to the international competition in Houston! Go team! It was great to see all the teachers excited about planning for the event. I am also happy to witness high school teachers going above and beyond to make their students’ lives better. That was on full display Friday!
Also I really love Queens! I have lived in a bunch of different places in the USA. Mostly they are all the same. In Arizona (where my sister lived) they have cactus and in NYS we have trees but its mostly the same stores, same vibe. Queens is like no other place in America! It is 100% different, unique, and genuinely cool. I love that my job takes me there from time to time.
Yesterday was both unbelievably fun but also, I was a little off. It might have had something to do with the fact that it was minutes away from spring break! I kept giving Anjali a countdown of the number of minutes until Spring break.
Great times! But also ITS SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!! WOO! HOO!!!
