I am a pretty live and let live guy on the highway.  Sure, I tend to go faster than I should.  But I am also a fairly defensive driver – by Long Island standards – which means I am an aggressive drive in Connecticut and THE DEVIL when I go home to Erie, PA.  HAHA!  99% of the stuff that happens on the road doesn’t bother me.

But I do think it is important to be a good Samaritan on the road.  I will occasionally stop and help out at an accident.  Even more often I call the police to report the accident.

Today I got passed on the right by a school bus and I was speeding.  I stopped at the red light and the school bus ran through – it was a solid red when the bus entered into the intersection – and then zipped through.

It was near Garden City so the bus driver hit another red light almost immediately and needed to  stop.  I decided – in the moment – I don’t know why – I would try to catch up to the bus to get their plate numbers.  Would I have done anything with it?  I doubt it. It is just the dumb crap you think about while you are driving. It was a moot point.  As soon as the light turned green, the bus was flying and there was no way I would be able to catch up to them.  That bus had afterburners!

I get the feeling that someone let the Pigeon drive that bus!
