Why should you present at Cosmic Pathways?
- Resume Line: Every time you present your research at a conference you can add another resume line about your talk. In today’s super competitive job market and graduate school market having meaningful things on your resume are important.
- Practice: You will also want to present your research at a big meeting like the APS Global Summit in April (I will be there too). Or practice speaking professionally for an interview. Cosmic Pathways is a low stress super friendly environment to give a nice presentation.
- Networking: Giving talks about your research is a great way to meet with people who are also excited about your research.
- Eager Audience: During Cosmic Pathways 2025, there was so much excitement surrounding the students’ presentations. It exceeded the excitement for student presentations I have seen at much bigger conferences like the APS Global submit.
- Giving Back: There are going to be a lot of high school students there – the registration is going very well for both conferences. This is an opportunity to share your amazing research with high school students and let them see what kinds of things they can do in college.
- Be a Shark Sticker: Each presenter will get an official Be a Shark Sticker from me.
