Our repump laser is in Germany getting an upgrade.  However, we wanted to continue working on the MOT experiment.  So we got out Repump laser by modulating our trapping light by 6.8 GHz and then injection locking to the side band as we have discussed in our past work.  Only we didn’t do this to chirp.  We did this go get repump light.

The thing that still amazes me about this whole process is that we can eliminate the zeroth order frequency in the injection locked light by 30 dB and that is enough to get a nice MOT (i.e., there isn’t any residual trapping light in the repump beam to push the MOT.  Of course there is a little, but not enough.)
