This is that time in January where you realize that despite working really hard for the first part of the month, you aren’t going to accomplish most your of your goals. Ouch! I had so many plans for this January. I kept telling myself, just wait until January then I will work on that paper then. But atlas its January 16th! I had some great family time but not enough. I didn’t get enough research done! The new book is still flopping around; its first draft unfinished. And don’t even get my started on this education paper I am working on. And people be sending me emails like “tick tick tick, time to get this done.” HAHAHA!

And now its time to turn and start prepping for classes. In one week, the semester is going to be in upon us and there will be limited time for all the research this year.

I will count my blessings because of course it could always be worse. I am a lucky little sloth. For example, I don’t live in LA – I am sorry my friends. And I get this amazing time in January to work on projects without having to teach.
