Make sure to update Thonny to the latest version (now 4.1.7)! I was trying to download temperature sensor MCP 9808 to my Pi Pico device through the Python library in “Manage Packages”, however, the search engine did not work at all. If I searched for something very general, such as “adafruit”, nothing came up. It turns out that the version of Thonny that I was using was old, and there was actually no problems with the setup of the circuit, or how it was configured into Thonny. The newest Thonny update improved the search engine, so make sure to download it!
The link to it is here: Thonny, Python IDE for beginners
