House work stinks! All the cleaning, sweeping, fixing, mowing etc, blah! I am the worse handyman ever. And don’t even get me started on what happened in the pantry this weekend – all the shelves collapsed and there were cans of tomato sauce and baked beans everywhere. Ick!

But the gardening! Oh man, I love it! I had some extra dirt this year and I made a little garden. It is so exciting to see all the flowers! I really love the squash flowers. They are so pretty! They hide too! And the best part of the garden you can eat it – at least some of it! I made a salad from parts of the garden last night and a passable pesto.

Fred – the guinea pig – loves the garden too!  At the end of the season, I am going to let him go “hog” wild in there.

I literally have no idea what I am doing. Half the stuff dies. But that means half the stuff lives! It is so fun. I am hooked!
