Dear Adelphi Students,
I am so excited to tell you about the amazing party we have coming up on 9/30 and 10/1. There are so many amazing opertunities to learn STEM outside of the classroom.
There are number of ways Adelphi students can get involved! Read through this post and see what you might want to do.
Brookhaven National Lab – Microprocessor Physics Workshop
Tuesday September 30 3pm to 4:30pm – Innovation Center – First Come First Serve.
Sign up here: https://forms.gle/KyGGQMi3BKV6qvbN8
If you ever wanted to learn how to use inexpensive microprocessors and sensors to do science this is the workshop for you. Dr Dave Biersach, is a leading scientist at Brookhaven National Lab, and he has an amazing traveling workshop. In addition to talking about microprocessors, he will also be able to speak about the numerous internship and professional development opportunities at BNL.
This event would be perfect for a curious student majoring in Biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, or physics who is willing to learn and ask questions.
Thorlabs Optics Demo
On September 30 and October 1, Thorlabs will have their Mobile Photonics Lab Experince on campus! AMAZING! I love Thorlabs! Thorlabs is one of the biggest and best optics companies in the world.
