My Students are so Nice to Me

I had to miss a conference because of a family emergency. Alyssa, Andrew, Anjali, and Kylie got me this cool novelty license plate. I LOVE IT! 🙂

Weather Report

I thought that the Fahrentheit scale didn’t go below zero! (joking) It was so cold this morning. My car said it was -5.

AGI – Seriously How is This Not AGI

I asked Gemini today to comb through the Economist and look for graphs of a certain type and then do some analysis. It did it. But here is the thing that blew me away. It said something like, “I can’t give those graphs because they are copywrited, but here is the python code to generate them. WTH?!?!?!?!?!?!

It tried to solve my problem and then used context clues to anticipate what I really needed.

So in the end I had to help Gemini a bit to get the programs to run and get all the details right. It is still a long away from perfect.

But that saved me a couple hours of work and the results are great. Since it is for a critical thinking discussion in class, I don’t even have to check if the data is correct, because it is about how to read the graphs, not reporting on the graphs. (does that make sense?-)
