As I was sitting down and thinking about who would be the best Keynote speakers for Cosmic Pathways, there was a short list. Rhett Allain (CP Chicago 2026 Keynote), Brad Conrad (CP NY 2026 Keynote), and few other people. Professor Allain’s name was at the top of the list. And not just because his last name started with “A”. He is a super impressive physicist, who has done some very neat things with his career.

Professor Allain’s talk was wonderful! If you are looking for someone to speak at your event, he too should be at the top of your list as well. It is interesting that Dr. Rhett Allain goes between the physics the students are learning in the classroom and stories about the real world applications of it in hollywood. I was definitely at the edge of my seat!

One of the things that Rhett Allain is always promoting is using visual python. He used the things he created in vpython in his presentation. These 4d graphics gave his presentation extra oomph!

I am very thankful he came up to Chicago for last weekend to speak and I am looking forward to chatting with him further at this year’s AAPT meeting in January.
